My personal take on New Year’s eve dressing is all about classic, elegant style combined with accessories, that give your look the air of refinement and exclusivity. Starting with accessories, I admit that my choice of a Naledi clutch in this outfit is ever so slightly biased, but then again, it is a stunning clutch, bias or not :-) It’s a timeless shape, perfect size for a night out, and it is so irresistibly precious in the beautiful ostrich. In black, it works with practically any outfit, adding just the right dash of luxe to whatever I wear.
As for the other parts of this outfit, I fell for the simple two-tone dress by Malene Birger, which is figure-flattering and perfect for dressing up or down. I can see myself using it on many occasions, which is practical. The choice of the cosmic high heels, on the other hand, can certainly not be called practical, but what they lack in practicality they make up in sheer unabashed decadence, perfectly in the spirit of the night! Even though I have absolutely no illusions about how long I will be able to stand in them (note also champagne, bottom left…), I will still enjoy every single moment of it. As for the jewelry, less is more is the best strategy for a classic look, so an understated Mayiet bracelet and a pair of intricate Alessandra di Tomasso earrings are just perfect to complete this outfit.
